About Griffing

The founding of the company took place in the 70s, when Andrej Češarek established a metal turning workshop in his garage. At first, he worked on his own, but slowly started to build a team. Throughout the years, the small workshop was perfecting their metalworking processes and 20 years ago expanded its production to door hardware (door levers, door handles, and other elements) for entrance doors, thus becoming a modern metalworking company with approximately 50 employees.

As early as 1999, a small team in the workshop created its first samples of door handles. Through cooperation and common developmental potential, their quality was recognised by large leading companies that produce entrance doors. In 2010, Andrej Češarek passed on the technical leadership to his son Urban Češarek, who is an engineer. That same year, he and his wife Nataša Češarek founded the company Griffing d.o.o. thus continuing the tradition of a family-owned company.

During all of these years, in addition to CNC treatment and production of turned and milled parts for the pharmaceutical, mechanical engineering, and automotive industries, the Griffing company continued to produce door fittings from stainless steel, such as door handles, door levers, and other decorative elements. The company keeps growing through continuous improvements and visionary thinking. By investing in technology, optimisation, modernisation, and a professional attitude, the customer network expanded and Griffing’s development grew. Better machines and the engineering knowledge of a highly-trained team contribute to its competitive edge in metal working and production of door fittings, whereas Griffing is renowned in the market as an expert, known for technological excellence and perfect product design.

With more than 300 000 door handles and more than 600 000 fasteners produced and 0% complaints rate, many of the largest and most exclusive door manufacturers are installing Griffing door handles, door levers, and other fittings. After more than 45 years of metal machining and more than 20 years of door handle and door lever production, Griffing has become a first-rate expert that offers quality, elegance, and precision.

Griffing is a member of the Slovenian Business Club and has been listed as a successful and trustworthy company in an analysis by the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce and rating agency Coface Slovenia. The Excellent SME certificate is further proof of their business excellence and the Bisnode rating house listed Griffing among the top companies with a AAA Platinum Creditworthiness rating. The company is continuously working, maintaining, and advancing their quality assurance system according to the international standard ISO 9001.
